Nothing
is more important than our happiness and sense of well-being, particularly
as we grow older. Dr. Clara Gary,
Montpelier’s first woman doctor, understood this very well
when in 1941 she founded The Gary Home--a pleasant, comfortable
residence in the heart of downtown Montpelier. Since then, the Gary Home has been a uniquely beautiful home
for scores of seniors over 69.
The Gary Home is a stately brick Victorian
in one of Montpelier’s most gracious areas. Carefully renovated
and tastefully decorated, it is only a short walk from the famous
golden-domed Capitol, libraries, churches, restaurants and shops.
The Gary Home property is enhanced by beautiful landscaping, paved
walkways, a patio and gazebo, and colorful flower gardens.
Life here incorporates the most important and comforting
elements of living in one’s own home. Gary Home residents
have their own suites, each with private bath. They enjoy nourishing
meals, prepared and served by caring people in a lovely
dining room. Comfortable, elegant common areas include a sunroom
and library. Other amenities include a hairdressing salon and a
spa-style whirlpool bath.
While the Gary Home is not a nursing home,
residents enjoy the security of 24-hour staff assistance. As
a licensed residential care home, we may provide room and board,
help with personal care, nursing
oversight and medication management, but not full-time nursing
care.
To the staff of the finest care facility on earth. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts.

I want you to know how much I appreciate all you and your staff did to make my mom's Gary Home experience one of quality, and peacefulness.
